Alicante launches a new fully accessible Turibús with guided tours in six languages.

On 27 September (International Tourism Day), Alicante City Council and the company Vectalia presented the new Turibús, which began operating on 1 October in the city's urban transport network.

The vehicle, made by MAN, is a modern and accessible vehicle for people with reduced mobility. It has a capacity for 70 passengers and offers guided tours in six languages: Spanish, Valencian, English, French, German and Italian. Thanks to M&E's multilingual systems, tourists from all over the world will be able to enjoy a unique experience and get to know the main attractions of the city. It is a bus for everyone that will contribute to the tourist projection of the city, which this year has had record numbers of visitors and hotel occupancy.

For his part, the CEO of Vectalia, Antonio Arias, stressed that "the new Turibús is a modern and accessible vehicle that will offer a unique experience to visitors to Alicante".

The tour lasts approximately 90 minutes and takes in Alicante's main tourist attractions, such as the Port, Postiguet Beach, the Archaeological Museum, Santa Bárbara Castle, the Old Town, the Main Theatre, the Bullring, the Auditorium, the Central Market, Plaza de los Luceros, Maisonnave Avenue, the Railway Station, the Bus Station, Canalejas Park and the Explanada de España.

In addition, those who obtain the Tourist Card will be able to enjoy a trip on Turibus as well as unlimited travel on the urban, interurban and tram lines between Alicante, Playa de San Juan and Campello.
